**WREATH CRITIQUE** For Amy Scott
Amy, your wreath is very pretty with Easter colors just in time for the season. I love the pinks, yellows and lime greens! The sweet owl fits in perfectly! I have a few suggestions for you to use when designing your next wreath.
BOW:
You have chosen 2 very pretty ribbons for this wreath. They match your colors perfectly. I would have longer streamers coming down from your large bow on the left side. You need at least 3 streamers hanging down at least 8 to 10 inches below your design.
GREENS:
There is one thing that is really almost missing which can make such a HUGE difference! That is greens! You do have some really dark green ficus leaves, but only a few. You should never skimp on greenery – a larger mix, the better. And, the more you have them come out from your wreath – the better! You need different colors of greens like variegated ivy, lighter green grasses, and other leafy greens in lighter shades.
LIGHTING:
Your lighting is good for your photo. There is some distraction behind your wreath – it may be from the glass on a storm door. Next time you take a photo, try opening your storm door all the way, and hanging your wreath on your white door. Even if you have to use a wreath hanger, that’s fine.
Amy, this wreath is pretty, but I know you can follow my suggestions above to come up with an exceptional one!
Happy Wreathing!
Nancy!
